It's Showtime host Ryan Bang finally confirmed that he and fiancée Paola Huyong have broken up in the latest episode of his co-host Vice Ganda's vlog.
Speculations about the couple's breakup have surfaced since September 2025 after eagle-eyed netizens noticed Ryan and Paola unfollowing each other on their respective Instagram accounts.
But before the rumors, before the breakup, Ryan and Paola seemed to be one of the sweetest celebrity couples.
Find out what happened during their relationship and how it started in this gallery:
Ryan first shared that he has a girlfriend on August 29, 2023, on It's Showtime. However, he didn't share at the time the name of his girlfriend, nor the details of their relationship.
Vice Ganda shared that Ryan called her the night before to share the good news first, as the Korean host considers the comedian his "mother" in the Philippines.
In his vlog on April 17, 2024, Ryan shared that their first date was at the concert of his Mommy Vice.
Ryan Bang recalled, "Ang first date naming dalawa, nanood kami ng concert ni Mommy Vice [Ganda]. Nung nag-propose ako, sabi ko, 'Will you be my girlfriend?' Binigay ko ticket ng Coldplay." He added that for Paola's birthday, he also gifted her a ticket to Taylor Swift's concert.
However, in the same vlog, Paola shared that she didn't know that watching Vice's concert with Ryan was already a date.
In June, 2024, Ryan finally proposed to Paola and became engaged. The actor-comedian popped the question in an intimate gathering.
Before the engagement, Ryan and Paola had already met each other's parents. The It's Showtime host even flew Paola's family to South Korea to meet them.
In August, 2025, during a guest appearance on Unang Hirit, Ryan shared that they planned to have a wedding in the Philippines in 2026. The actor-comedian even revealed that they planned to have two to three children.
However, in September 2025, rumors that Ryan and Paola had broken up surfaced after netizens noticed the couple had unfollowed each other on Instagram. Despite the rumors, Ryan was present when Paola's café, Siesta Horchata, closed down late in September.
After months of silence about the rumors, Ryan finally spoke up on Vice's vlog, confirming their breakup. The It's Showtime host clarified that he never cheated on his fiancée and that they tried to make it work. In the end, the actor-comedian had to accept it and let go.
