The stars of 'The Perfect Crown' are preparing viewers for an emotional sendoff as lead actors IU and Byeon Woo-seok shared hints about the drama's highly anticipated finale.
Set in a fictional Korea where a constitutional monarchy still reigns, the romantic comedy series follows an ambitious heiress to a powerful conglomerate who refuses to wait for a prince to save her. Instead, she proposes a marriage of convenience to a Grand Prince and uses the arrangement as political cover.
As the pair navigate palace politics and mounting opposition from the Queen Dowager and the Prime Minister, their transactional alliance gradually develops into romance while challenging the rigid systems surrounding the monarchy.
Ahead of the final episodes, IU and Byeon Woo-seo hint at emotional moments in the drama's conclusion. The latter also shared on Instagram that fans can look forward to seeing how the royal couple's relationship evolves amid the escalating political conflict.
Written by Yoo Ji-won and directed by Park Joon-hwa and Bae Hee-young, the series also stars Noh Sang-hyun and Gong Seung-yeon.
