For the first time, Jam Villanueva faced the media as the new endorser of Ampong Dental Essentials during its launch on Sunday night, January 29.
During the Q and A segment, the newbie endorser was asked about her reaction to getting her first product endorsement.
She answered, “Very grateful po ako kasi I started from nowhere naman talaga, let's be honest. Ayun, very grateful din naman po.”
She added, “Kaya rin po ako napa-oo kasi I believe in brands na nag-a-align din po sa values ko. Yun po ang nire-represent ng Ampong. They're all about confidence and new beginnings. Kasi, ang smile po natin is very powerful siya. It's not all about appearance, it's all about feeling strong enough sa sarili mo. I think, that's something na I can personally relate to.”
It's only about a month when Jam was hitting the headlines after confirming her breakup with actor Anthony Jennings. In connection to this, she also exposed his conversation with actress-singer Maris Racal by sharing several screenshots on social media.
Despite this issue, Jam still managed to put on a smile on her face.
She reiterated, “Ang smile natin, very powerful 'yan. Yung iba naman sa atin, hindi ka talaga makaka-smile kapag mayroon kang nararamdaman inside. So, kailangan at peace ka lang talaga sa self mo and doon lalabas ang totoong confidence mo.”
Jam Villanueva on forgiveness
Jam also mentioned that while she is already moving on from the controversial issue, “I'm still on the process,” of forgiving.
According to her, this was one of the lessons she learned recently.
Jam related, “Moving on is not just about forgetting the past. It's also about choosing yourself in the present and kung paano mo itatayo ulit yung sarili mo despite sa lahat ng mga nangyari sa buhay mo.”
She added, “Ang self-worth ko po ay non-negotiable. Never lose yourself in the process… kung anuman yung nangyayari sa buhay mo, dapat alam mo pa rin talaga yung sarili mo. Kung alam mo yung values and principles mo, hindi ka talaga mawawala.”
She also briefly clarified, “Wala na po akong connections doon sa mga taong involved sa issue.”
Right now, Jam wants to focus on this new chapter of her life.
“Behind every smile, there's a story. So, hindi naman po por que hindi ako makapagpatawad is hindi na ako ngumingiti. Right now, I am focusing sa sarili ko na I'm moving forward.”
As of now, Jam only sees herself as an endorser and joining showbiz is not part of her plans.
“Parang hindi pa rin po pasok sa value ko, e. I don't know kung halata, pero very soft person din po kasi ako, e. Parang hindi rin po kaya ng mental health ko na pumasok sa industry na ganun,” she said.
Jam added in conclusion, “Ang plan ko po right now is to just focus sa sarili ko and i-build yung career siguro and yung self-growth ko muna.”
