Janine Tugonon is now embracing a new chapter in her life as she has given birth to her first child.
The model and Miss Universe 2012 first-runner up recently announced the great news on Instagram, where she shared photos of her newborn, herself, and her partner. The first-time mom also revealed her baby girl's name.
“Bonjour Madeleine Sophia. Thank you Lord for a healthy baby, positive birth experience and so far a great CS recovery. You Lord always got my back and Your grace is sufficient,” she wrote.
She added, “Time to start reading books to you. (Thinking between taxation, accounting, AI, coding and IT? - haha char lang, pero someday yan talaga sana)”
The newbie mom received congratulatory messages from her fellow beauty queens like Lara Quigaman, MJ Lastimosa, Katrina Dimaranan, and Hannah Arnold in the comments section.
Janine confirmed her pregnancy back in June.
After joining Miss Universe in 2012, Janine pursued a career in modeling in the United States. In her guest appearance in Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, she talked about her experience staying abroad.
“I went to the US to do modeling and I stayed there for 10 years. And now I'm back. I enjoyed the US. I enjoyed all my experiences there, it was pretty tough especially starting with papers and everything. It wasn't an easy road even though I had the title of Miss Universe first runner up. It wasn't easy, but I really loved it,” she said.
