Pageant enthusiasts and fans gathered at the Mall of Asia Arena on May 22 for the crowning of the new Miss Universe Philippines, succeeding 2023 Top 10 finalist Michelle Dee.
This year's winner, Chelsea Manalo of Bulacan, gave a spectacular performance that defied the odds and surprised everyone.
Missosology, a pageant blogger and critic, initially ranked Miss Bulacan in the 10th spot on the 'Final Hot Picks' list. However, despite being considered a 'dark horse', she emerged victorious and has now earned the chance to represent the Philippines in the upcoming Miss Universe pageant in Mexico.
Joining Chelsea in the winners column are Christi McGarry of Taguig (fourth runner-up) and Baguio representative Tarah Valencia (third runner-up).
Meanwhile, former Miss International 2018 first runner-up Ahtisa Manalo was hailed as the second runner-up, while Cainta's pride Stacey Gabriel, gave a strong performance and bagged the first runner-up spot.
