Jennylyn Mercado revealed that she and husband Dennis Trillo still have a frozen embryo stored in Texas in case they decide to have another child in the future.
In a “Chika Minute” report on 24 Oras yesterday, May 6, Jennylyn was asked if she feels pressured to have another baby before turning 40 next year.
“Mayroon pa ko talagang isang boy na buo na, nasa Texas. So, kung maisipan ko man, siya na lang,” the actress shared.
She added that she and Dennis are currently focused on raising their son Dylan.
“Pero sa ngayon kasi ine-enjoy pa namin si Dylan, gusto pa namin siya tutukan maganda na naka-focus kami sa kanya. Kasi, 'yung mga kuya niya mga binata na,” Jennylyn said.
Dylan, the daughter of Jennylyn and Dennis, is now four years old. She has two older brothers, Jazz and Calix, from Jennylyn and Dennis' previous relationships, respectively.
The frozen embryo was originally intended for the couple's surrogacy plans in 2021. However, Jennylyn later became pregnant naturally, which came as a surprise to them.
According to the actress, the embryo remains viable and may still be implanted should they decide to expand their family again.
“Puwede pa po 'yun. Naka-freeze lang 'yung embryo,” she said in an interview. “Anytime na gusto naming magka-baby ulit puwedeng ako na. Puwedeng surrogate uli. Depende kung kakayanin ko pa.”
