Jennylyn Mercado's agency issues official statement on Patrick Garcia's interview

Jennylyn Mercado's talent agency, Aguila Entertainment, has addressed the recent interview of her former partner, Patrick Garcia, regarding their past relationship and their son, Alex Jazz.
In a statement posted on social media, the agency said the Kapuso actress has no plans to comment on or grant interviews about Garcia's appearance on Ogie Diaz's YouTube channel, where he shared his side of their story.
"Our artist, Jennylyn Mercado, will not comment or grant any interviews regarding Patrick Garcia's statements on Ogie Diaz's YouTube channel," the statement read.
The agency added that while everyone has the right to tell their own story, Jennylyn has chosen not to speak publicly about the matter out of respect for both families.
"Everyone is entitled to share their story on whatever platform they choose. In this case, Jennylyn would rather not share her side of the story out of respect for the privacy and peace of mind of both her family and Patrick's."
Aguila Entertainment also appealed to the public to stop spreading hate and refrain from attacking Garcia and his family online.
According to the statement, Jennylyn and Alex Jazz continue to enjoy a happy and peaceful family life with her husband, Dennis Trillo, daughter Dylan, and stepson Calix.

Meanwhile, in his interview with Ogie Diaz, Garcia clarified that he had been making efforts to reconnect with Alex Jazz since 2018.
The actor also revisited the events leading to his breakup with Jennylyn, claiming that tensions between them began after he was asked a hypothetical question about whether he would feel differently if the baby she was carrying was not his.
Garcia said their relationship deteriorated as communication became increasingly difficult. He recalled that his calls went unanswered and his visits to Jennylyn's home were turned down. He also admitted being surprised when he later learned that she was already seeing someone else.
Addressing long-standing criticisms from netizens, Garcia denied allegations that he abandoned Jennylyn during their relationship.
"Sa mga bashers na bina-bash ako, they hate me so much because they're saying na iniwanan ko si Jen. No, that's not true! Hindi ko iniwanan si Jen," he said.
The actor acknowledged that he was not present during Jennylyn's pregnancy, but claimed it was not due to a lack of effort on his part.
"I was never there for Jen during her pregnancy, not because I didn't want to be there, but because she didn't want me to be there."
Garcia added that this was the first time he had publicly shared his side of the story in nearly two decades.
"That's my story. This is the story I've been holding for 18 years na hindi ko sinasabi."
