Jeraldine Blackman to undergo surgery after ventricular aneurysm diagnosis

Jeraldine Blackman of The Blackman Family gave an update about her heart condition after she was diagnosed with a left ventricular septal aneurysm in June 2022.
In her Facebook post on Tuesday, August 26, the Australia-based Filipino content creator revealed that she is set to undergo surgery due to arrhythmia, or abnormal heart rhythm.
Geraldine said, "For the past 3 years, I've been closely monitored, and this year I'm finally having a surgery. Many of you know about the accidental finding of my left ventricular septal aneurysm, discovered in June 2022. It had remained stable--until recently.
"Last week, I saw my cardiologist, and he discovered that I've developed an arrhythmia (an abnormal heart rhythm)."
Because of the recent health findings, she needs to wear a Holter monitor, a device that detects irregular heartbeats, for the next two weeks. "After that, my cardiologist will set a surgery date," she added.
Jeraldine shared that her condition might be congenital and it just happened that she has been experiencing symptoms like chest pains, extreme fatigue, and dizziness in the last two years.
She further explained, "For those curious, the rhythm issue I'm experiencing is called RVOT VT (Right Ventricular Outflow Tract Ventricular Tachycardia). According to the cardiologists I've seen here in Australia, my aneurysm is likely a condition I was born with--or even developed before birth."
Though she's facing a serious health battle, the mother of two continues to stay optimistic and comforts her followers with the news that she's doing fine. "I'll keep you all updated over the coming weeks about the surgery plan and how I'm doing. Please don't worry--I'm okay! I've got Jette and Nimo with me in this battle!"
