Jessica Villarubin honors late mom on birthday

Kapuso singer Jessica Villarubin remembered her late mother, Teofila, on what would have been her birthday, as their family continues to mourn her passing.
In a heartfelt social media post, Jessica shared photos from her mother's wake alongside cherished memories from when Teofila was still alive. “Today is your birthday, Mama, and the longing to see your smile just one more time cuts so deep,” she wrote. She described her mother as her “greatest blessing,” “biggest inspiration,” and “the most beautiful soul” she would ever know. Jessica also promised to carry her mother's love in everything she does and to continue making her proud. “Happy birthday in heaven, my beautiful angel. I love you always and forever,” she added.
Jessica was originally set to perform at 'Taste of Manila' in Toronto, Canada, on August 15 and 16. However, Sparkle, GMA Network's talent management arm, announced on August 12 that she would no longer be part of the event “due to a recent death in the family.” The agency also expressed its prayers and sympathy for Jessica and her family. In her post, Jessica thanked everyone who offered their love, prayers, and condolences during this difficult time.
