Days after welcoming their third child, Joyce Pring took to Instagram to open up about her gentle birth experience -- an approach that blends mindfulness, hypnosis, and cognitive behavioral techniques to prepare both the mind and body for birth.
Joyce Pring's contractions started early in the morning. However, as an experienced mom, she initially chose to ignore them, thingking it might be a false alarm.
Like any ordinary day, Joyce Pring began her morning with her kids, cooking lunch and even doing some cleaning.
While the children were napping, Joyce Pring felt the pain again. After contacting her OB, she was advised to go to the hospital.
Joyce Pring even found a lightheared moment as she arrived at the hospital wearing shades —not just to look cool, but to help her stay focused during labor.
While waiting for her OB, Joyce Pring felt the intensity of her surges. She admitted became very demanding, even telling her husband, Juancho Trivino, to bring her to the birthing suite ASAP or she would go home. When her OB arrived, they discovered she was already 6 cm dilated.
In the birthing suite, Joyce Pring focused on staying comfortable. With the help of her OB and medical team, she remained calm using essential oils and a diffuser. She also moved around while being closely monitored. The celebrity mom chose to avoid unnecessary interventions.
Joyce Pring admitted she felt anxious throughout her pregnancy and constantly prayed for a safe, peaceful, and beautiful delivery. She asked God for strength, calmness, and peace.
Joyce Pring expressed gratitude for her answered prayers. She said God blessed every aspect of the experience -- from the support of the birthing team and her husband to the disposition of her heart -- which she described as miraculously calm and peaceful. At times, she even cried tears of joy and gratitude, feeling that God was with her and her baby.
After an intense pushing stage, with Juancho Trivino by her side, Joyce Pring finally gave birth to their son, Gregorio Andres.
Within just 24 hours, Joyce Pring was cleared to go home with their newborn baby boy!
