Five Breakups and a Romance stars Alden Richards and Julia Montes had an intimate conversation in the online exclusive video The Actors.
Aside from being the lead star in the movie, Alden is also a co-producer of Five Breakups and a Romance under his company MYRIAD Corporation.
"Ako, sinasabi ko rin every time na ini-interview ako na, ang tanong ko, bakit ako? So, itatanong ko sa 'yo, bakit ako?" Julia candidly asked Alden.
"Siyempre, at first, alam mo ito na nag-produce ka rin, risk 'yun for you kasi hindi birong mag-produce. Bagong tinatahak mo 'yun, and coming from the past works na nagawa mo, siyempre may pressure, nandoon, hindi maalis, 'di ba?
"Bakit sa akin ka pa nagtaya?"
For Alden, he knew Julia was the right person for the job, although he only knew on a surface level.
He answered, "Why you? I told you, gut feel, and it felt so right, e. Noong hindi ko pa nakikita si Juls, daming fears, daming questions. I only know you sa surface mo."
"I think everything happens for a reason. Si Lord, binigyan tayo ng mga opportunities sa buhay because kailangan siyang mangyari sa buhay natin, and this was meant to happen.
"This was meant to happen. I have no regrets, not even a single regret."
Five Breakups and a Romance, written and directed by Irene Villamor, will be shown in cinemas this 2023.
