Kara David in Sitio Malipano for Project Malasakit

Ten years after the airing of 'I-Witness' documentary "Kawayang Pangarap", award-winning journalist Kara David returned to Sitio Malipano in Zambales to extend assistance through her community outreach initiative, Project Malasakit.

Aired in 2010, “Kawayang Pangarap” featured the lives of Sitio Malipano residents who relied on bamboo craft-making as their primary source of livelihood. The documentary shed light on the community's ongoing challenges, particularly in access to education and sustainable income.

In Kara's recent Instagram post, her 'Project Malasakit', in collaboration with 'Project Pamayanan' MGC New Life Christian Academy; brought school supplies, hygiene kits, and basic relief goods to the families, ensuring the children are well-equipped for the current school year.

Take a look at Kara David's return to Sitio Malipano below.
