Karel and Pinky Marquez believe that mothers and daughters should be friends

Karel Marquez and her mother Pinky Marquez visited the daily afternoon talk show Fast Talk with Boy Abunda for a quick chat.
Their mother-daughter energy was contagious as they got candid about their relationship.
They also proved how in-tune they were with each other by finishing each other's sentences and sharing the values that they both hold dear to their hearts.
Both Karel and Pinky believe that they enjoy a good a relationship because they consider each other as friends.
"Friendship, kasi the more na I'm open sa kanya eh. I can respect her as a mom pero at the same time, I can open up to her, open my heart and soul to her. I think that's an amazing relationship to have," Karel said.
Pinky echoed her daughter's sentiment.
"This girl is my friend since childhood. I opened up to her. I said whatever happens to you--teenage [years] 'di ba--whatever, tell me. I'll protect you, I'll be with you. She did that. Make a mistake? Tell me. I will not fight with you, I will help you," she said.
