Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom confirm breakup

Celebrity couple Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have parted ways after being in a relationship for nine years.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star and the pop singer, who began dating in 2016, have ended their engagement, reps confirmed in a statement on July 3. The two are parents to four-year-old Daisy Dove Bloom.
Their reps shared with E! News, “Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry's relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting.”
Despite the split, the former couple remains committed to family life. Bloom, who also shares 14-year-old son Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr, and Perry intend to continue spending time together for the sake of their daughter.
“They will continue to be seen together as a family," the statement added, "as their shared priority is--and always will be--raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.”
Katy and Orlando began dating in 2016. They briefly broke up in 2017, rekindled their relationship and got engaged in 2019. They welcomed their daughter Daisy in 2020.
