Kean Cipriano and Chynna Ortaleza have been happily married since 2015. Since then, they've been blessed with two beautiful children, Stellar, born in 2016, and Salem, born in 2019.
Unknown to the public, Kean and Chynna's relationship could have started way earlier, when they were still studying.
Chynna has been active in show business since she was a kid. She was part of the youth-oriented program '5 and Up' alongside Atom Araullo.
Back then, one of Chynna's stylists happened to be Kean's cousin. This relative asked Kean if he would like Chynna to be his date at his prom.
"'Yung pinsan ko, may prom kami sa school, 'tas sabi niya, 'Insan, gusto mo ba ng artista na ka-date?' So ako, siyempre naman, bidang-bida ako sa mga ka-batch ko noon, 'di ba?" he revealed during their guesting on 'Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.'
Unfortunately, Chynna was not available. Instead, she gave Kean a wallet-sized photo of her with a short dedication on the back.
Forward to 2008, Kean met Chynna for the first time during a celebrity event in Boracay, a photo of which he proudly uploaded on Instagram.
"Minsan 'di mo masasabi, yung taong mamahalin mo maaring nand'yan lang pala talaga," he wrote in the caption.
But their relationship did not start until a few years later since their chemistry was too strong back then that they both got scared.
In 'Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,' Chynna admitted that they needed to "kill the spark" since back then, Kean was still in a relationship while she was a "wreck."
Many years after, Kean and Chynna have still managed to end up in each other's arms.
In fact, the celebrity couple marked their 10th anniversary with heartfelt messages for each other.
It was during Kean's prom that his cousin wanted to introduce Chynna to him. In an interview, Chynna recalled, "May stylist po kasi ako doon na pinsan niya." Kean added, "'Yung pinsan ko, may prom kami sa school, 'tas sabi niya, 'Insan, gusto mo ba ng artista na ka-date?' So ako, siyempre naman, bidang-bida ako sa mga ka-batch ko noon 'di ba?"
Unfortunately, Chynna was not available to be Kean's prom date. Instead, she gave him a wallet-sized photo of herself with a dedication on the back.
In an interview in 'Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,' Kean and Chynna revealed that the wallet-sized picture of Chynna she gave to Kean many years ago is already in Pasig River. "Nagsi-swimming na po siya sa Pasig River ngayon," Chynna teased.
On Instagram, Kean revealed that she met Chynna for the first time at a celebrity event in Boracay in 2008.
Chynna and Kean admitted that there came a time where they "killed the spark" since Chynna was a "wreck" while Kean was in a relationship back then. "Feeling namin hindi siya 'yung tamang oras, tamang sitwasyon," Kean explained.
There also came a time when Chynna and Kean were not ready for each other because the chemistry between them is too strong.
Kean and Chynna then reconnected at the premiere night of her movie 'Dementia' with superstar Nora Aunor.
At the premiere night of 'Dementia,' Chynna was wearing a "bride costume" when she saw Kean again.
Kean already had a gut feeling that back then was the perfect timing for them to be in a relationship. Chynna added a funny story how Kean delivered a speech while being drunk, "Nag-i-speech siya, lasing, nagsasabi siya, 'Pag tayo na, that's it. Game over. I love you."
In a church near the house of Kean's grandmother, he asked Chynna to be his girlfriend. She looked back, "Eventually, nung nagpunta na po kami sa church malapit sa bahay ng lola niya, nagsabi na po siya na parang, 'How would you feel kung naging tayo?' Sabi ko sa kanya, sige tanungin mo siya, I refer to God, kasi sabi ko sa kanya, d'yan tayo magko-commit."
In October 2015, Kean admitted to Tito Boy Abunda's former talk show that they were already in a relationship.
Kean proposed to Chynna twice. The first time, Chynna revealed, that Kean proposed without a ring. "I was happy because he was so sincere," she said. The second time, Kean popped the question with a ring Chynna wanted.
On the last day of 2015, Kean and Chynna made their love official as they had a civil wedding.
In 2017, Kean and Chynna had a church wedding attended by some of their celebrity friends including John Prats and wife Isabel Oli, Glaiza de Castro, and Ryza Cenon.
Now, Kean and Chynna have been blessed with two children, Stellar, born in 2016, and Salem, born in 2019.
When asked what would be the title of their relationship if it were a song, Kean answered, "Free fall."

The celebrity couple dedicated heartfelt messages to each other as they marked their ninth year together.
“I pray for a lot more years together. Mahal kita! @kean Salamat sa lubos na pagmamahal at pagpapatawa. Walang ibang nakakagawa niyan. Wala kang katulad!” the actress and mom wrote in her post.
Kean, on the other hand, penned for his wife, “I'm so blessed to have found my soulmate. Thank you for nine beautiful years, @chynsortaleza. Happy anniversary! I love you.”
Kean and Chynna celebrated their 10th anniversary and dedicated heartwarming messages to each other.
Kean expressed his gratitude to his wife on their 10th anniversary.
"A decade ago, we decided to reach for our own outer space. We've been inseparable ever since. I'm beyond grateful to have a life partner @chynsortaleza. Salamat sa lahat lahat!" he wrote.
On their 10th anniversary, Chynna shared a photo of herself and her husband and captioned it, “10 Years. We did it mahal ko.. We are alive.. So ALIVE! I love you.”
