Kris Aquino: 'I miss the old me'

Kris Aquino longs for the times before she was afflicted with multiple health conditions, just like her fans.
The Queen of All Media said this in a conversation with one of her close friends from the media, entertainment columnist Dindo Balares, who visited her recently.
In a post shared by Balares, he stated that he saw Kris looking at a viral video of Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa during the recent Senate session on the impeachment complaint filed against Vice President Sarah Duterte. In the now viral video, Sen. Dela Rosa said, "I am guided by the Holy Spirit." Then, an old clip of Kris' exclaiming, "Holy Spirit! Holy Spirit kaagad, ha," was added in the end.
Dindo shared that Kris' laughter at the meme was infectious and that even after he left the private resort where Kris is staying until her tolerance test, the two of them talked about how Kris' ability to laugh at herself set her apart.
“You were asking me what I believe sets me apart- it's because i can laugh at the weirdest things that come popping out of my mouth,” Kris wrote in a chat message to Dindo.
“When you can laugh at yourself, winner ka na because having the ability to take life and all its quirks is what keeps one from getting too full of herself. My mom and dad had that. And thank God i also inherited it."
However, their conversation turned bittersweet the next day after Kris shared that the uploader of the video wrote “Nakaka-miss si Krisy.”
"Tinamaan ako, Kuya Dindo. People do not realize how much i miss the old me…” she wrote. "But i am human and it hurts so much."

This is just the latest update Dindo has shared about Kris on his Facebook account. Last month, it was on his Facebook post that Kris responded to a death hoax.
Kris returned to the Philippines in September last year. She is in the country so she can be close to her family as she undergoes more tests and rounds of medication for her different health conditions.
