Lara Quigaman and Marco Alacaraz's family moves to Canada, leaving showbiz behind

Beauty queen-turned-actress Lara Quigaman has quietly stepped away from the limelight in the Philippines to embrace a simpler, more grounded life in Canada with her family.
Known for her grace and poise, Lara captured the nation's attention when she won Miss International in 2005.
Then, she built a respectable acting career, appearing in numerous television dramas and films.
During her time in showbiz, Lara began building a family with fellow actor, Marco Alcaraz, whom she married in a civil ceremony in 2011 and a Christian wedding in 2012. They have three kids, namely Noah, Tobin, and Momo.
But in recent years, fans noticed her absence from mainstream media. In a recent Instagram post, Lara confirmed that she and her family have chosen a different path.
“Our family has always prayed that God would lead us to a place where we could be closer to one another and to Him,” Lara wrote.
“Leaving behind our careers and the life we knew in the Philippines was not easy, but we chose to follow a dream that had been in our hearts long before our boys were born.”
Quigaman and her husband, actor Marco Alcaraz, made the move to Canada in pursuit of a different kind of life and a peaceful lifestyle for their three children.
Lara Quigaman also recently marked a new milestone in earning her diploma with distinction in Early Childhood Education in Vancouver, Canada.
