Award-winning filmmaker Lav Diaz visited the iconic Criterion Collection to take part on the popular online series "Closet Picks."
Lav shared his picks of movies that have been influential to his career as well as films that he finds meaningful.
"Hi, I am Lav Diaz. I am a filmmaker, a Filipino filmmaker," he said as the video opened.
"I'm robbing cinema now. I'm a thief of cinema," he jokingly added.
Lav's latest film Magellan, which stars Gael Garcia Bernal, began its theatrical release in the United States on January 9.
The epic historical drama film debuted at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival and was released in the Philippines in September last year.
