Antoinette Taus

Back in the '90s, Antoinette Taus was among the main teen queens on Philippine television. She began her showbiz career in 1992 and officially became a Kapuso in 1996.

She is well-known for her portrayal in some of the most iconic GMA shows such as 'Anna Karenina,' 'T.G.I.S.,' 'Sana ay Ikaw na Nga,' and 'S.O.P.'

In 2001, Antoinette officially moved to Los Angeles and stayed there for over a decade while frequently visiting the Philippines. In 2004, Antoinette's mother, Cora, passed away due to cancer. Despite what happened, she continued living in the U.S. with her father Tom Taus Sr. and actor-turned-DJ brother Tom Taus Jr.

Her mother's death inspired her to form the organization CORA (Communities Organized for Resource Allocation) which aims to decrease poverty in the country, help poor communities, and raise awareness and take action against environmental problems such as global warming and climate change.

Antoinette is also actively part of humanitarian work outside of showbiz and serves as an advocate in various campaigns about mental health.

On September 26, 2019, Antoinette was hailed as National Goodwill Ambassador for the Philippines by the United Nations Environment Programme to promote sustainability and environmental protection. She is currently active in advocating projects about sustainable development goals and mental health in the Philippines.

While many of her fans miss her appearances on television, her efforts in promoting good causes have gained her fans' admiration. From being a teenybopper '90s teleserye queen, the actress-singer-environmentalist is now taking over her forties with real-life adventures in her purposeful life.

Check out the photos of Antoinette Taus that shows she's still fab and happy at 40.
