Pictures have this amazing ability to bring back special memories.
Electronics engineer-entrepreneur, Adlai Jan Garcia Jawid, knows this too well.
Adlai is the man behind the Facebook page Kulay Colorization in which he displays his special talent in bringing back to life old black-and-white photos.
He picked up the hobby of colorizing old pictures back in 2016 and has never let up in retouching pictures to give them a vibrant, refreshing look.
The process is taxing and part of the work requires research and envisioning the right colors to match the feel and era in which the images were taken.
Part of his collection of colorized pictures is those of local showbiz icons. They all appeared amazing even in black-and-white, but the colored rendition made them look all the more stunning.
“I am glad that people appreciate this kind of art and it becomes an instrument for the younger generation to better appreciate our history,” Adlai told GMANetwork.com.
