 Jade Lopez and Baby Rinoa

Jade Lopez's initial experience as a first-time mother wasn't easy as she gave birth to her daughter Rinoa Sapphire just a days before the lockdown in Metro Manila started in 2020.

In her interview with 'Eat Bulaga' hosts Paolo Ballesteros and Ryan Agoncillo for "Bawal Judgmental" recently, the former 'StarStruck' avenger related how she cope with her postpartum state under quarantine.

The celebrity mom revealed that she had an emergency C-section, which required her to undergo induced labor for 18 hours, when she gave birth to her first child.

"Napunta siya sa NICU for a few days din. 'Tapos, pagkalabas niya, ako naman 'yung naospital and then, lockdown na," Jade recalled.

The 33-year-old parent then admitted, "Hirap na hirap ako mainly because nag-lockdown nga.

"Ang tagal namin sa hospital 'tapos biglang lockdown na, wala na akong makausap na tao.

"Alam mo yun, parang bagong panganak ka, yung hormones mo talaga parang all over the place.

"'Tapos biglang, hala, asawa ko na lang ang kausap ko.

"For some weird reasons, inis na inis ako sa asawa ko noong pagkapanganak ko, hindi ko alam kung bakit. Sorry. Pero ngayon, loving-loving na kami."

Because of this experience, Jade said that she always makes sure to take care of her mental health while tending to the needs of her family especially Baby Rinoa.

"Happy mommy, happy baby. Kaya naalagaan ko ang mental health ko, especially dahil sa pinag-daanan ko noong lockdown, ayaw ko nang maulit 'yon sana," she said.
