The year 2004 was the first time we had a glimpse of Mike Tan's potential as a star in the groundbreaking artista search 'StarStruck.'
He then went on to win the competition, earning the title Ultimate Male Survivor alongside Ryza Cenon who emerged as Ultimate Female Survivor.
He slowly carved his own path in showbiz by honing skills as a dramatic actor. Mike showcased his talent in such successful Kapuso soaps as 'Legacy' (2012), 'Mga Basang Sisiw' (2013), 'The Rich Man's Daughter' (2015), 'The Millionaire's Wife' (2016), 'Hindi Ko Kayang Iwan Ka' (2018), and 'Kara Mia' (2019).
Among the shows he has done in the past, it was in the afternoon soap 'Ika-6 Na Utos' (2016-2017), Mike's caliber as an actor shone through. Mike played Angelo Trinidad, a driven career man whose love for Emma De Jesus (Sunshine Dizon) blinded him and drove him to turn his back on the people who mattered to him. The show was a huge success, becoming the country's top daytime drama.
Unlike other celebrities, who is very open about their private life, Mike Tan has always chosen to lead a quiet and very private life. Even his wedding with his non-showbiz wife in January 2019 happened without a fanfare.
Today, he has been enjoying his life as a father to two beautiful girls and has been giving his followers on Instagram a glimpse of what family life is like in the House of Tan.
He is also set to star in the newest Afternoon Prime show 'The Seed of Love' opposite Glaiza de Castro.
