Rufa Mae flew to the U.S. in February 2020 for a vacation but ended up staying there for two years.
Although she and her family have adjusted to their life in America, the comedienne said in a previous interview that she still wants to go home here in the Philippines. "Gusto ko bumalik para ayusin ko 'yung buhay ko diyan," she quipped.
In March 2022, Rufa Mae finally had the change to back to the Philippines with daughter Athena.
