'Crash Landing on You' is about the unlikely love story of chaebol heiress Yoon Se-ri and North Korean military officer Ri Jong Hyok or Captain Ri, who met when Se-ri accidentally crash-landed in North Korea after a storm swept her up while paragliding in Seoul, South Korea.
'Crash Landing on You' -or CLOY, as fans fondly call it-- has become the highest rated K-drama of the South Korean TV channel tvN and also the third highest-rated South Korean TV drama in cable TV history.
Moreover, the love story of RiRi (Se-ri and Captain Ri), has also become the new love and relationship goals of CLOY fans.
