Louise delos Reyes warns public about scammers using name of eco-luxury wellness resort in Batangas

TV actress Louise delos Reyes was upset when she took to Instagram to share the sad experience of a family member who was scammed by a group pretending to represent a popular eco-luxury and wellness resort in Batangas.
Louise even posted a carousel of photos on her IG page containing the screenshot of the bogus Facebook page of The Farm at San Benito. She also shared a thread showing the conversation of her loved one with the scammers, which she did not identify anymore.
The Farm is located in Lipa City Batangas and is considered a five-star luxury hotel resort. Based on current prices in a popular hotel app, a one-bed room villa with a garden view in The Farm will cost around Php 31,069 (without taxes) if you want to stay from February 20 to 21.
The former Kapuso teen actress stressed to the public to be wary of scammers, since they also tend to target older people, who are not that tech savvy.
“SOMEONE IN OUR FAMILY GOT SCAMMED BY A GROUP PRETENDING TO BE THE FARM AT SAN BENITO. THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM, ESPECIALLY FOR OLDER PEOPLE WHO HAVE LIMITED ACCESS TO OTHER PLATFORMS AND ARE MORE GULLIBLE ABOUT WHAT THEY SEE ONLINE, PARTICULARLY ON FACEBOOK,” Louise wrote.
She continued, “THEY ARE THE MOST SUSCEPTIBLE TO THESE KINDS OF MANIPULATION AND SCAMS. AS A COMMUNITY, WE CAN ONLY DO SO MUCH TO PROTECT OUR PARENTS, TITOS, TITAS, LOLOS, AND LOLAS.
“I HOPE NO ONE ELSE'S PARENTS HAVE TO EXPERIENCE THIS. LET'S STAY VIGILANT AND EXPOSE THESE PEOPLE.”
In the captions of her Instagram post, Louise delos Reyes reiterated to her followers: “Please stay vigilant. Scammers are now pretending to be trusted establishments online, and our elders are often the most vulnerable. Let's protect our families and spread awareness.”
Aside from doing Tween Hearts (2010-2011), Louise delos Reyes also appeared in other GMA-7 soaps like Alakdana (2011), and Mundo Mo'y Akin (2013).
