Manny Jacinto in PH for 'Freakier Friday'

Filipino-Canadian actor Manny Jacinto made a memorable return to his roots as he visited the Philippines to promote his upcoming film, Freakier Friday. The highly anticipated sequel to the 2003 hit Freaky Friday stars Manny alongside Hollywood icons Jamie Lee Curtis, Lindsay Lohan, and Chad Michael Murray.

Born in the Philippines to Filipino parents and raised in Canada, Manny was clearly emotional about his homecoming. At a fan event held at SM Mall of Asia on August 5, he immediately charmed the crowd by speaking in Tagalog.

"Kumusta po kayo?" he greeted, earning loud cheers from the audience.

During the event, Manny opened up about his role in Freakier Friday, where he plays Chef Eric, a single dad and the love interest of Anna, portrayed once again by Lindsay Lohan.

“It feels like a dream. Honestly, I never would have thought that I'd be-- you know, I was born here [in the Philippines], so like a local boy that gets to act opposite Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis is wild to me,” Manny shared.

“Never would have thought. But here we are. It's a dream to be here right now.”
