'Marilag' singer Dionela ties the knot with longtime partner Meizy Mendoza

OPM singer-songwriter Dionela has officially married his longtime partner Meizy Mendoza, marking a new milestone in their love story following his viral onstage proposal four months ago.
The couple said their vows in a simple yet romantic garden wedding attended only by close family members and friends, as seen in social media posts shared by guests from the local music scene.
Kapamilya host Aiyana Perlas was among those present and even took on hosting duties for the ceremony, posting candid photos from the celebration, including moments with the newlyweds.
Also in attendance were concert directors Paolo Valenciano and Nico Faustino, who had previously collaborated with Dionela on his New Frontier Theater solo concert, alongside Paolo's wife Samantha Godinez Valenciano.
Fellow OPM artists Ena Mori and Japs Mendoza were also spotted celebrating with the couple during the intimate event.
Dionela later gave fans a glimpse of the ceremony through a social media post, sharing a behind-the-scenes moment as Meizy made her way down the aisle.
“Wait lang sa new music mga idol, ikakasal lang kami saglit brb,” he joked online.

The singer previously surprised Meizy with a proposal during the opening night of his “The Grace Tour Manila,” inviting her onstage while performing the chorus of “Bahaghari,” a song inspired by their relationship.
Meizy has been the inspiration behind several of Dionela's well-loved tracks, including “Marilag,” “Bahaghari,” and “Oksihina.”
