Marina Summers comes out as a trans woman

Filipina drag queen Marina Summers has officially come out as a trans woman, opening a new chapter in her life.
In a heartfelt social media post, Marina opened up about her transition journey, which began in 2025 after years of setting that part of herself aside while pursuing other dreams.
"I've been sitting with this for a long time, trying to find the right moment and the right words. Today feels like that moment," she wrote.
"Since I was a child, I've always felt feminine — even deep into the parts that I didn't always know how to name. For so many years, I poured that energy into carving a life that required me to move at full speed. Becoming the person I've always seen myself as felt like something I'd get to 'later,' something I gently pushed to the side while I tried to catch every other dream first."
That pause finally ended last year, when Marina decided to begin her transition and later undergo hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
"After years of questioning and pushing back, I finally made the beautiful decision to begin social transitioning in early 2025. A lot of you may have noticed how I changed the way I present myself. That journey led me to start my hormone replacement therapy (HRT) later that year — and I would say it's one of the best things that has ever happened to me."
Marina also explained why she initially chose to keep her transition private.
"I chose to keep the first part of this journey with my innermost circle. It's not as if I was hiding something from the world. I just really needed space to feel it, to heal, to simply exist in my own skin without the outside noise. I'm grateful I gave myself that."
Now, she's ready to share her journey with the public — happily closing the chapter of her life as Yan or Adrian as she steps fully into the woman she is becoming.
"From here on, I'd love for you all to get to know me more as the woman I'm becoming. Hello again, my friends, it's me, Marina. There's still so much to learn. I don't have everything figured out. But I do know I want to be more honest with you and myself."
She ended her message by thanking everyone for the love, kindness, and respect she hopes will continue as she embraces this new chapter.
Marina first rose to fame as the runner-up of the inaugural season of "Drag Race Philippines." Her international breakthrough came when she competed on "RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs the World" Season 2 in 2024, where she placed third.
