Among these rising stars is Muay Thai champion Islay Erika Bomogao. Recently, she earned the coveted title of World's No. 1 in the International Federation of Muay Thai Associations (IFMA) rankings for the 45-kilogram female elite athlete category. Her victory didn't stop there as Islay made history to be the first Filipina Muay Thai world champion after defeating Australia's Sarah Kwa.
