Bon Appétit, Your Majesty tells the story of Yeon Ji-young (Lim Yoon-a), a talented Korean chef who, after winning a French cooking competition, returns to Korea only to unexpectedly travel back in time to the Joseon era via an old cookbook. There, she meets King Yi Heon (Lee Chae-min), a tyrannical ruler with an extraordinary palate.
