Nurse John makes it to Forbes' Top Content Creator 2026 List

Filipino-Canadian nurse and content creator John Dela Cruz, better known as Nurse John, continues to make Filipinos proud after earning a spot on Forbes' Top Creators 2026 list. Ranked No. 28 among the world's most influential digital personalities, Nurse John was recognized for turning his relatable healthcare content into a global entertainment success. Forbes reported that he has amassed 19.2 million followers and generated an estimated $7.2 million in earnings, while his wildly popular Short-Staffed Tour has sold more than 250,000 tickets worldwide.

Before becoming a social media star and comedian, Nurse John grew up in the Philippines and moved to Canada to work at age 17. He eventually got a job in nursing and worked as a frontline nurse in Canada during the COVID-19 pandemic. He began creating videos as a way to cope with the challenges of hospital life, sharing humorous and honest glimpses into the realities of the nursing profession. Earlier this year, he returned to the Philippines for a sold-out stop of his Short-Staffed Tour at the Mall of Asia Arena, a milestone he described as a meaningful homecoming that allowed him to reconnect with his roots and celebrate with Filipino fans.
