Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz are starring in their first flick ever. In The Cheating Game, Hope (Julie Anne San Jose) and Miguel (Rayver Cruz) unravel the complexities of betrayal.
Hope is an NGO worker who finds out her fiancé is cheating on her. She breaks off the engagement, leaves her job, and tries to move on. Hope meets Miguel (Rayver Cruz), a young businessman who becomes her friend. Just like Hope, Miguel has also experienced getting cheated on.
The Cheating Game also shows different red flags in relationships, the different stages of grief after being cheated on, and how far some people can go for love.
Written and directed by Rod Marmol, with original story by Shao Masula, The Cheating Game shows a more mature, relatable, and realistic side to modern-day dating.
The Cheating Game is premiering in cinemas nationwide on July 26, 2023.
