'Love in the Moonlight' is a South Korean historical drama series that's set in the 19th century Joseon Dynasty and is centric on the lives of Crown Prince Lee-yeong (Park Bo-gum) and Hong Ra-on aka Hong Sam-nom (Kim Yoo-jung).
Hong Ra-on is a woman disguising herself as a man and is taking on the masculine name Hong Sam-nom. She counsels men and gives them pieces of advice on dating. As one of her clients asks Hong Ra-on to disguise herself as him, she crosses paths with Crown Prince Lee-yeong whom she did not recognize as the heir to the throne.
As their first meeting ends up in chaos, Hong Ra-on and the Crown Prince meet again at the Palace. Hong Ra-on becomes Lee-yeong's eunuch and they form a peculiar companionship that only they can make sense of. As they become closer together, the two develop feelings for each other they both can't explain.
With the onslaught of historical Korean dramas last 2016, 'Love in the Moonlight' became one of the highly-acclaimed series that deserved its popularity.
