Versatile TV-movie actor Michael de Mesa swiftly acted to correct the fake news circulating on Facebook that he has passed away.
The son of the late Eddie Mesa and Rosemarie Gil posted on Instagram Story to inform everyone that he is still alive.
Poking fun at his death hoax, the Forever Young actor wrote, “Posting this from heaven.”
Turning serious, Michael added, “I'm not the only one. Graben a fake news ngayon. Help me report this post (false information). Thanks!”

Michael's two siblings, seasoned actors Mark Gil and Cherie Gil had already passed away. Mark died in 2014, while Cherie passed away at the age of 59 in August 2022.
Michael de Mesa acted in the afternoon soap Forever Young (2024-2025) with award-winning child star Euwenn Mikaell.
