Nathalie Hart admitted that it's not easy to move on from a failed marriage. However, She's grateful that she has her six-year-old daughter Penelope, who has been her anchor in life, especially during this tough time.

“Sa anak ko talaga [ako kumapit],” said Nathalie when asked who gave her courage after her short-lived marriage to her husband Brad Robert.

She continued, “Iniisip ko na lang, kung patapon na ang buhay ko, kawawa naman ang anak ko. Sa kanya talaga ako kumukuha ng lakas. Kapag nakikita ko ang mukha ng anak ko, sabi ko, 'My God, I have to make a lot of money. I have to be successful, so when I leave this world, may pupuntahan naman yung buhay ng anak ko. I think it's really my daughter.”

Right now, the celebrity mom embraces being a single mom anew.

Nathalie said ever since she gave birth to Penelope her life has changed.

“Dati kasi wala akong pakialam sa buhay. I don't care about anything,” she said in an interview with GMANetwork.com and other entertainment media recently.

She then recalled her lifestyle when she was still single, “I used to go home at four or five in the morning. Now, it really changed because I had to be ahead of everything like, fix the food. You need to plan everything.

“Ngayon, iba na talaga ang buhay. If I go out with my friends today, dapat gigising na ako ng 7:00 or 6:00, so I have to go at 12:00. Now, it's boring na. It's not boring, but may direksyon na talaga ang buhay mo.

“Yun ang pagkakaiba ng may anak sa walang anak. You know, you can do whatever you want when you're single. But if you become a mom, it will really change your life.”

Aside from the changes in her lifestyle, Nathalie also mentioned that playing dual roles is a bit challenging.

She related, “I saw my other friend na mayroon silang [kaagapay] na asawa. Mahirap lang na you have to decide everything. Yun lang ang nakakainis doon.

“If there's a good cop and a bad cop, you're both. How can you play those two roles?

“Yun lang siguro ang pinakamahirap doon, especially when you're a single parent, you can't just leave your child to a different parent. Mine kasi, we live in different countries. Hindi ko siya puwedeng iwan lang like sa iba na medyo malalapit lang yung bahay ng asawa nila.

“That's the only problem that's hard, especially when your ex is in a different country. Yun lang, you're on your own, your schedule is aligned with your child every single day. You can't just plan new things like, Im gonna go out with my friends.

“Now, it's a very different life. Kailangan pag-uwi ng bata may nakahanda nang pagkain. Ang maganda lang sa Pilipinas, you can have people to help you in the house, pwede kang magbayad. Sa ibang bansa kasi you have to do everything on your own.”

Nevertheless, Nathalie is thankful that Penelope's dad constantly communicates with their daughter.

“Even though we broke up, we made sure dad and her talked on a weekly basis. That makes my life easier because I don't have to explain. The only thing that we had to do was explain why dad and mom were not together anymore. It's not about me or the dad, it's about us being parents to our child. Both of us naman are good parents,” she concluded.
