Odette Khan's health condition improves: 'She is now awake'

Bar Boys director Kip Oebanda shared a good news about the health condition of veteran actress Odette Khan.
In a now-expired Instagram story, Kip said, "Her condition improved."
He added, "We now have a specialist who said her lungs don't need to be drained again [because] of the improvement.
“She is now awake, is able to eat thrice a day. She is fighting with us. Thank you to everyone who has helped."
Kip also expressed his admiration and gratitude for the outpouring of love Odette has received.
"Personally I am so inspired and touched by the outpouring of love for Mommy O. Her 50 years of love for her art and craft made people love her as well.
"In this industry, people like her are rare. She never chased fame or validation -- just quiet, dignified, and high-quality work over the years. One of the silent pillars of our industry."
The director ended his message by thanking those who continue to send love and support. He also called for better healthcare in the country.
"To see people give that the value it deserves is honestly very touching. Maraming salamat sa mga tumulong at tutulong pa.
"But also, Pinoys deserve better healthcare omg!"
Last February, Odette's daughter, Claudette Avelino-Tandoc, requested for financial help because the veteran actress had been hospitalized and bedridden at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute.
It was revealed that the actress suffers from pneumonia, emphysema, and edema. Doctors had to drain fluid from her right lung and closely monitor her condition.
