Ogie Alcasid is mourning the passing of his talent manager and friend Leo Dominguez.
The singer-songwriter honored the late talent manager as he shared a throwback photo of him and Leo on his social media accounts.
In his caption on Instagram, Ogie recounted how Leo was the first person who told him he could be a singer-songwriter when they were in high school.
“To say that [I] had the very best manager in you is a total understatement because you were more than that to me. You were a friend and a real brother for almost 34 years,” Ogie said.
Ogie continued, “Salamat Leo sa lahat ng pinagpaguran mo para sa akin. Napakasakit sa dibdib na wala ka na. The world just lost a priceless human being. Love you, Leo Dominguez. Rest now with Jesus.”
In another post, Ogie shared an old poster of Kundirana, a singing group of La Salle Greenhills, which they were both a part of.
Ogie also wrote a lengthy tribute for Leo on his Facebook page and described him as his “carpool mate, classmate, neighbor, kachismisan, travelling companion, critic, fan, brother, and biggest protector.”
“I thank you for believing in a short singer like me. Thank you for taking this journey of taking life as it is and making the most of what it could offer. You are a priceless and most precious friend and mentor Leo,” a part of Ogie's caption read.
Aside from Ogie Alcasid, the late talent manager also handled the showbiz careers of Lovi Poe, Paulo Avelino, and Janine Gutierrez. The news of Leo's passing was reported on May 24, Friday.
