P-pop group ASTER officially launches debut album

Rising P-Pop boy group ASTER has officially marked their entry into the music scene with the launch of their highly anticipated debut album Talayag.
The 12-member group introduced their fresh sound and dynamic performances to the media and content creators last Friday, August 8.
“It'a cliché kung sasabihin namin na happy kami kasi nandito kami. But it's true, sobrang saya po namin, like it's a dream come true for us,” said Aster Wayne when asked about how the group feels to finally release their first album.
Although they are still a rookie, Aster's leader, Kean, takes pride in their skills and talents.
He told the media, “Isa po na maipagmamalaki ko sa Aster, ang Aster po kasi is a self-produced group and management. So, lahat po ng gusto naming ilabas--from music, songwriting, dance, and producing contents--gusto po namin na laging galing sa amin. Kaya kung may maipagmamalaki ako sa buong mundo, yun ang strength ng Aster na we are the makers ng lahat ng ilalabas namin.”
The group consists of Kean, Charlie, Tatin, Gee, Alas, Laurence, Wayne, Loyd, Kiel, Gem, Miguel, and Cray. They are the largest (in terms of number) P-pop boy group to date.
Aster's Charlie admitted that being part of a large group comes with challenges, particularly when it comes to bookings. However, Kean was quick to clarify that their management, Asterisk Entertainment, has always been ready to support them.
He said, “Lagi po naming sino-solve ang problem namin... Every time nagkakaroon kami ng challenges, we really have a meeting po with our management. One of the challenges talaga na na-encounter namin is financially, super hirap din talaga naming umangat. At the same time, marami kami, so maraming suggestions na puwedeng ibigay, marami advice from our senior and our management. Marami silang pwedeng maitulong para sa best solutions sa problems na nae-encounter namin.”
Aster Wee added, “Kaya rin po nagkaroon kami ng subunit--Aster Zodiac and Aster Axis--para po mahati po yung group pero dala pa rin naman namin ang name na Aster.”
The group expressed their hope to achieve the same success that other P-Pop acts have enjoyed in the music industry.
Aster's Wayne shared, “Ako po, personally, ang advantage po namin as Aster, meron po kaming mga senior, and we can learn from them and adapt a lot of things from them.”
Rather than viewing senior groups as competition, Charlie emphasized, “There was never in our minds na there are advantages and disadvantages kasi we are just here to do what we love. Hindi namin iniisip kung advantage or disadvantage, or kung may nauuna o nahuhuli. We're just doing what we love, and we love to inspire people.”
