Remembering Manay Lolit Solis: celebrities mourn her loss

Well-known showbiz columnist and talent manager Lolit Solis passed away at the age of 78. This was confirmed by her daughter, Sneezy, to GMA News Online, saying that the veteran host died due to heart failure.
In August 2022, Lolit, popularly known as Manay Lolit, revealed she had to undergo lifetime dialysis. The following year, she suffered a mild stroke following one of her sessions.
While she was still active on Instagram despite her health conditions, Manay Lolit officially retired from online posting in 2024 to focus on her health and enjoy her private life.
Celebrities could not help but be shocked and saddened at the loss of another veteran of the showbiz industry.
Lolit's longtime talent, actor and former Senator Ramon "Bong Revilla, Jr. writes a heartfelt message for his beloved talent manager.
He wrote, "Paalam Nanay Lolit.
"Pahinga ka na. Wala nang sakit; wala nang hirap.
"Sobra kitang mami-miss.
"Maraming salamat sa pagmamahal at pagkalinga. You have been a solid rock for me, a staunch defender, and most importantly - a mother who took care of me and my family up to your last days with us.
"Para akong nawalan ulit ng nanay.
"Napakalaki mong kawalan sa napakaraming taong nahaplos ng iyong pagmamahal, gayundin sa industriya to which you dedicated your entire life.
"Ang aming taus-pusong pakikiramay sa lahat ng iyong naiwan. Lahat kami ay nagluluksa.
"Mahal na mahal ka namin."
