Kapuso star Rhian Ramos and her boyfriend, Sam Versoza, recently participated in the much-anticipated 2024 New York Marathon.
Also driven by their passion for fitness, Rhian Ramos and Sam Versoza participated in the 42 km marathon with a cause. They joined Smile Train's Team Empower to raise funds for the surgeries of more than 100 children with cleft palates.
As part of their most unforgettable experiences, Rhian Ramos and Sam Versoza shared their memorable journey in the 2024 New York Marathon on Instagram. The couple recounted their experiences, from enjoying the city's vibrant ambiance to sharing humorous moments along the way.
One of the things Rhian Ramos found most delightful was seeing the crowd of people cheering on the runners. Spectators held up funny signs to entertain the participants and handed out free snacks and water. Rhian shared on Instagram, "It's unbelievable to see the entire city cheering everyone on during their 42-kilometer journey, offering bananas, energy drinks, candies, and tissues."
Rhian Ramos also saw the marathon as an opportunity to reminisce about her life in New York. As she and her boyfriend Sam Versoza ran through the city, Rhian took the chance to show him some of the places that held special memories, including her old apartment.

Many of them were there to cheer on the runners while holding fun posters and waving the Filipino flag. "We also saw the Filipino-American community! There's something magical about waving the Filipino flag at an international event," Rhian said.

The marathon became even more special for Rhian Ramos as she reunited with her "NYC fam"--Chef Aris Tuazon and filmmaker Ryan Willard. Rhian shared in her Instagram caption, "Lastly, my best motivation was knowing that my NYC fam Aris Tuazon and Ryan Willard were waiting on 1st Ave to support us! I didn't even notice my knees were starting to give in until we got past them."
Sam Versoza described their experience at the 2024 New York Marathon as one of the most memorable and something to be proud of. It was one of his best examples of the saying, "Walang impossible basta trinabaho mo at binigay mo ang lahat para sa isang Goal mo."
After proudly completing the 42 km marathon, Rhian Ramos and Sam Versoza were officially hailed as finishers of the 2024 New York Marathon.
