Rob Sy defends child vs. Alfred Vargas and wife's bullying complaint

Filipino actor Robert Vincent Sy, better known as Rob Sy, breaks his silence to defend his family following a complaint filed by Quezon City Councilor Alfred Vargas and his wife, Yasmine.
Rob Sy took to Facebook to respond to allegations that his child bullied Alfred's son, which led the public servant to file a complaint against Rob and his wife for an alleged violation of Section 10(a) of Republic Act No. 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
He also stressed that while they may lack influence or power, they stand by their integrity.
Sobra Na!!! Labis na ang Paninira
IPAGLALABAN PO NAMIN ANG KATOTOHANAN," he added.
"Wala man po kaming yaman at impluwensya.
Last Monday (April 13), Alfred and his wife filed a criminal complaint against the parents of a minor who allegedly bullied and physically harmed their son during swimming training sessions.
The complaint alleges a pattern of behavior in which the respondents' minor child repeatedly pushed and submerged the Vargas couple's son in the pool.
According to the complaint, these incidents occurred multiple times despite the Vargases' efforts to raise the issue and request that the child's parents intervene and manage their child's behavior.
The situation reportedly escalated when Alfred and several others witnessed another incident during a warm-up session, where the minor allegedly pushed his son near the side of the pool, nearly causing injury ahead of a competition.
Alfred also claimed that when he brought the matter to the attention of the child's mother, the incident was shrugged off.
In their complaint, the Vargas couple emphasized that the respondents failed in their legal duty under the Family Code to properly supervise and discipline their child.
