K-pop girl group BLACKPINK made history as they became the first K-pop group to headline Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
On their first day as a Coachella 2023 headliner, BLACKPINK showed strong stage presence and spectacular two-hour performance for over 100,000 Coachella attendees.
BLACKPINK's April 15 song list included 19 of their songs, including "Pink Venom", "Kill This Love", "How You Like That", "Pretty Savage", "Kick it", "Whistle", "Boombayah", "Lovesick Girls", "Playing With Fire", "Typa Girl", "Shut Down", "Tally", "DDUDUDUDUDU" and "Forever Young".
In an email to MTV, BLACKPINK shared how they felt about headlining Coachella, "It is such an honor to headline at a place where so many different people who love music gather together. We never expected this kind of opportunity to come to us. It means a lot to us to be invited to stand on such a huge stage to represent our language and culture. We hope that our stage inspires people to dream big and we hope that our music shows that music truly goes beyond language.”
