Sen. Chiz Escudero's idea of limiting PH holidays drew mixed reactions

Social media is buzzing with Senate President Francis "Chiz" Escudero when he announced that he has already ordered a Senate committee to study if it is possible to limit the holidays in the country.

In a press conference, SP Escudero stated, “Nagkasundo ang Senado na limitahan ang mga holidays.
“Mahigit isang buwan na ang holiday sa buong bansa, which makes Philippine companies and workers less competitive.”
He added, “Di ba may holiday ang siyudad, may holiday ang munisipyo, may holiday ang probinsya. May national holiday, may religious holiday. Which makes us less competitive.”
“Isa yun sa mga pinapag-aaralan ko sa kanila ngayon sa komite. Ang problema lang away 'yan, e. Pero hindi naman kailangan gawin ngayon, simulan lang natin ang proseso.
