Tributes come in many forms and sizes.
Recently, Tony Award-winning performer Lea Salonga proudly announced her inclusion in a stamp collection celebrating the 75th anniversary of the country's first stamp.
Aside from the Lea, the upcoming collection also includes esteemed Filipino personalities such as Paeng Nepomuceno, Josie Natori, and Eugene Torre, among others.
“Yup, this is for real! I've been chosen to be commemorated on a stamp and postcards to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the first postage stamp in the Philippines! And I am in wonderful company!” beamed Lea.
Over the years, the Philippine Postal Corporation or PHLPost has paid tribute to various individuals who, in one way or another, played a role in our culture and history.
Among those honored were celebrities in the entertainment field. Like Lea, these legends have endeared themselves to the public and have made the nation proud.
