Singer Davey Langit passes away

Singer-songwriter Davey Langit has passed away, his wife Therese Villarante-Langit confirmed in an emotional social media post on Wednesday.
In her tribute, Villarante-Langit described her husband as someone who “loved life” and shared that he “fought fiercely 'til the very end” before his passing on Tuesday, October 21.
“He felt so loved by you all these past few days. Thank you for filling his heart with so much gratitude, community, and hope,” she wrote, expressing her appreciation for the outpouring of love and support the family received.
In her heartfelt tribute, Therese remembered her husband Davey as a fearless, music-loving soul who embraced life with joy and adventure, from thrilling free falls and roller coasters to lighting up every room with laughter and song.
She thanked everyone who showed love and support during his final days and announced that memorial services will be held in Santa Rosa, Laguna (October 23-26) and Urdaneta (October 27-29) to honor his life and legacy.

In a Facebook last August, Davey revealed that he was diagnosed with a rare spinal infection.
He wrote on his post, containing photos of him and his wife in a hospital, "I've been diagnosed with spondylodiscitis, a spine infection around my thoracic 8 vertebrae. Here in the hospital for three days now. After kasi ng MRI, kailangan ng CT-scan and biopsy procedure to determine what we're dealing with exactly and para malaman din ano course of action moving forward."
At the end of his post, Davey said, "Ang dami ko nang namimiss gawin, hehe. Gumalaw-galaw, tumugtog at kung anu-ano pa. Pero mas marami akong mamimiss in life kung hindi ko ito uunahin. Salamat ulit sa mga mensahe't pananalangin ninyo! Be back soon!
Davey began his music career in 2006 as part of Pinoy Dream Academy Season 1 and went on to achieve acclaim as a songwriter, with his composition “Dalawang Letra” winning at the 2016 Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs competition.
