Sofia Mallares wins 'The Voice Kids'

Sofia Mallares was hailed as the grand winner of The Voice Kids. She represented Project Z under the mentorship of Zack Tabudlo.
After performing a touching rendition of "The Prayer," The Voice Kids host Dingdong Dantes asked Sofia what she prayed for.
The young singer from Pasig answered, “Nagpe-pray po ako na maging grand champion po ako and yung mga nanonood po, naririnig po, na-touch po ang kanilang hearts and na-feel po nila ang presence ni God.”
Meanwhile, Coach Zack expressed pride in his mentee for achieving his dream of making it to the finals of The Voice Kids.
He related, “Actually, nag-pray kami kanina ni Sofia. Nag-pray kami na kahit saan kami dalhin ni Lord, alam namin na nandoon yung right place. It doesn't matter if you don't win. Ang importante, Sofia, you're here, and you've blessed us with your talent.
“Through your voice and your heart, alam ko, and alam mo rin 'yan, na marami tayong na-touch na mga tao outside of this studio and the whole world.”
Sofia emerged victorious after getting the most number of public votes online during the show's live finale on Sunday, December 14, triumphing over competitors Team Bilib's Yana Goopio, Julesquad's Marian Ansay, and BenKada's Giani Sarita.
As the winner of The Voice Kids, Sofia took home PhP1,000,000 as a cash prize and a recording and management contract with UMG Philippines, Inc.
