Sofia Pablo, Allen Ansay lead cast of 'Prinsesa ng City Jail'

Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay are leading the cast of Prinsesa ng City Jail, the newest series on GMA Afternoon Prime.
During the story conference of the show held on April 5, Sofia and Allen said that it would be their first time to star in a series set in a city jail.
"Ako, very challenged kasi, of course, marami naman na po akong nagampanan na lower class, na masa talaga 'yung dating. Pero wala pa po akong nagagawa na masa character, na parang street smart. Siyempre, iba 'yung character kasi very detailed siya na lumaki sa kulungan," Sofia said after the show's story conference.
For Allen, he just realized that his role would be different from the previous ones he did, especially he would be portraying the character of a rich swimmer named Xavier.
"Akala ko 'yung typical na mayaman na tahimik, so nung binigay na sa amin 'yung mga character description namin, nakita ko na the way siya magsalita, the way paano siya mayaman, plus kailangan ko dito maging fit kasi swimmer ako dito and also, basketball player," Allen said.
Prinsesa ng City Jail tells the story of Princess (Sofia), a young girl who was raised near a city jail by her adoptive jail guard father.
Her life changes when she meets an angsty new inmate, Xavier (Allen). As their friendship blossoms inside the walls of the city jail, Xavier will lead Princess to her long lost family.
Joining Allen and Sofia on Prinsesa ng City Jail are Beauty Gonzales, Denise Laurel, and Dominic Ochoa.
Also part of the cast were Ayen Laurel, Al Tantay, Keempee de Leon, Jean Saburit, Ina Feleo, Joyce Ching, Will Ashley, Radson Flores, Minnie Aguilar, and Lauren King.
