South Korean singer Choi Wheesung, known for his R&B hits, has died. He was 43.

According to reports, the R&B singer was found collapsed at his home in Gwangjin District in Seoul on Monday, March 10, at around 6:29 p.m.

Authorities arrived after receiving a call from his family, but he was already pronounced dead. Reports stated that there were no signs of foul play.

The police are still actively looking into the exact cause of death.

Wheesung's agency, Tajoy Entertainment, also confirmed his passing on the same day.

"This is Tajoy Entertainment, the agency of singer Wheesung. We are deeply sorry to share such heartbreaking and tragic news. On March 10, our beloved artist Wheesung passed away. He was found in a state of cardiac arrest at his home in Seoul and was subsequently pronounced deceased,” it said.

It also urged the public to avoid spreading “unverified and speculative reports” about his death.

The agency continued, "It pains us deeply to deliver this devastating news to the fans who have always supported and loved Wheesung. We ask that you keep him in your thoughts and prayers so that he may rest peacefully."

According to the label, a separate announcement will be made regarding the funeral arrangements.

Wheesung was set to hold a concert alongside fellow soloist KCM on March 15. However, following his passing, the event has been canceled.

He made his debut in 2002 with his first album, Like a Movie, delivering iconic hits including "Is It Not Possible?," "With Me," "The Day We Meet Again," "Terminal Illness," and "In a Year."
