'StarStruck' alumnus Jesi Corcuera is expecting his first child

It's a day of celebration and inspiration as Starstruck alumnus and proud trans man, Jesi Corcuera, joyfully announced that he is expecting his first child.
On Instagram, Jesi surprised his followers with stunning maternity photos, showcasing his baby bump while proudly wrapped in the LGBTQ+ flag.
In the captions, he opened up about his struggles and the decision to embark on this new journey into parenthood. He began, "Sa lahat ng gagawan ko ng caption, ito na yata 'yung pinakanahirapan ako. Alam ko mahihirapan din kayong intindihin kung paano ito nangyari."
Jesi revealed that his path to parenthood involved in vitro fertilization (IVF), a journey he started back in 2018. "Pero that time, maraming struggles, lalo na financially and hindi rin naman biro ang gastos sa unang plano kong mag-IVF."
The StarStruck alumnus also shared how his partner, Cams, and her children have significantly influenced his life. After reconciling with Cams following their breakup, Jesi realized how much he wanted to become a parent.
"Hanggang sa bumalik sa buhay ko si Cams pati ang mga bata. Naisip kong parang sign na yata ito ni Lord sa'kin. Baka ito yung warm-up Niya para sa'kin kung paano ako magiging magulang soon."
Jesi expressed his excitement about carrying his own child, whom he affectionately nicknamed Ninja. "Fast forward ngayong taon, 'di ko in-expect na mabubuo siya through my last option na ako ang magdadala pero sobrang thankful ako na pinagkaloob ito ng Diyos sa akin."
He added, "Hindi naging madali ang prosesong ito para sa akin kaya sana hindi n'yo rin ganu'n kadaling husgahan kung ano'ng nakikita n'yo ngayon. Simple lang naman ang gusto ko, 'yung magkaroon ng matatawag kong sariling akin. Alam kong may mga anak akong inako kay Cams at walang mababago du'n sa pagdating ni “Ninja” (nickname ng baby ko Hahaha). Sa lahat ng desisyon ko sa buhay, malaki ang naging parte ng mga bata at ni Cams sa kung ano ako ngayon."
In conclusion, Jesi wrote, "Samahan n'yo kami sa bagong journey ng buhay kong ito. At sana kapulutan ng aral at inspirasyon ng marami."
Friends, relatives, and followers flooded the comment section with congratulatory messages, expressing their pride and happiness for him. Fellow Starstruck alumnus Dion Ignacio also shared his congratulations to Jesi.
Jesi gained recognition as a finalist on StarStruck: The Next Level (2006), alongside fellow celebrities Aljur Abrenica, Kris Bernal, and Paulo Avelino. Over time, he has become an inspiration to the LGBTQ+ community by bravely sharing his journey through surgeries and proudly displaying his surgery scars.
