After the tragic death of veteran and multi-awarded Filipina actress Jaclyn Jose, the Philippine showbiz industry mourned and remembered her intheir special ways.
Some reminisced their memories with Jaclyn, while others penned heartfelt messages for the actress.
Although her passing is a great loss to the Philippine television and film industry, her family will miss her the most because of her deep and genuine love for them.
Jaclyn was proud to share a story in an interview last 2021 where she professed her love for her children, Andi and Gwen.
She said, “Noong time na tinanong ako bakit hindi ako [magkaroon] ng partner… Naubusan na kasi ako ng time, eh. [At] sabi ko [na] kung magkakaroon ako ng [bagong] katuwang tapos 'yung anak kong lalaki [ay] maiilang or mawawalan ng lugar sa akin, hindi bale na lang… Mas pipiliin ko na sila na lang… Ganoon ko kamahal ang mga anak ko… Kahit buhay ko [ay] ibibigay ko…”
During her press conference addressing Jaclyn's death, Andi Eigenmann paid tribute to her "nanay" on March 4.
She said, “Her undeniable legacy will definitely forever live on through her work, through her children, grandchildren, and the many lives she's touched… her life herself was her greatest obra maestra.”
Jaclyn Jose passed away on the morning of March 2, 2024, due to a heart attack. She was found lifeless in her residence in Quezon City.
